Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District

The conservation Districts of Iowa is again partnering with local soil and water conservation districts to foster the higher education endeavors of Iowa students intereted in conservation and agriculture by offering scholarships. Seniors pursuing programs of study in an field of conservation or agiculture qualifies for the Conservation scholarsship.

Three scholarships will be awarded on the state level in the amounts of $3,000, $2000, and $1000. The six regional winners who do not receive the state awards will each receive $500. The local winner will receive $300 from the Hamilton SWCD. The first, second, and third place state awards will be paid directly to the school of choice in two installments, beginning with the first term of attendance and at mid-term or semester. The scholarship must be used for the student's first year of college. The $300 and $500awards will be paid directly to the students.
