The William A. Cessna Scholarship was established in 1975 with funds from the William A. Cessna estate.  Mr. Cessna left property to the Webster City Community School District to be sold to establish a perpetual scholarship for all graduates of Webster City High School. Mr. Cessna attended Webster City High School for only one year and did not graduate from here.

1. The recipient must be a graduate of Webster City High School.
2. The recipient must be a full time student at an accredited university, community college, or vocational school.
3. A student may receive the Cessna Scholarship up to eight semesters of post secondary education.
4. An application must be filled out each year.

The Webster City Schools Business Office must be notified of any change in the college/school attended after the application has been turned in.
The Cessna scholarship checks are made out to the institution and sent to Financial Aid Office after certification has been made that the student is attending full time.
The Cessna scholarship money is disbursed in two payments.  One-half of the amount is sent the first semester and the second one-half is sent for the second semester.
