Webster City Community Schools

Don & Esther Reimer Memorial Scholarship

Don and Esther Reimer valued the power that education gives to an individual -- the power to expand opportunities in new directions or enhance success wherever you are. Even though Mr. Reimer's college education was cut short by the economic realities of the Great Depression and Mrs. Reimer never had the opportunity to attend college, both were life-long learners.

Mr. Reimer founded Modern Farm Systems in Webster City not only because it is the heart of some of the best farm country in the world but also because it has some of the best people in the world, many of whom chose to work at the company. Don and Esther formed life-long friendships with many of the people of Webster City during the years they lived here and they were always appreciative of the help the community gave them. This scholarship is provided as a tribute to the community of Webster City with the hope that it will help the recipients to expand their opportunities and enhance their successes.
